the staff were exceptionally friendly and told us what a feast to expect so our expectations were high. we were given the set menu with no options to change to the normal menu, this menu consisted of approx 10 "courses". when the courses arrived however, they consisted of exceptionally small dishes of salad, dips and pitta bread. although we were told just to speak up if we required extra, we never did as we were waiting for some sort of main dish. this never came. just 4 - 5 more small dishes, more salad on one, 2 sausages cut into (literally) strips the size of 2 matchsticks stuck together on another, 6 vineleaves stuffed with chick peas (each the size of an eraser) and a small bowl of rice/chicken with a tasteless tomato sauce. all this for £20 per head, we each felt robbed when leaving but did the british thing and didnt complain. Also whilst the food was coming out we were constantly plied with bottles of greek beer (£3.50 per bottle) i wonder why....? the saving grace of the evening was the belly dancer who was very good although she was only on for a short time unfortunatley. to summarise, we'd heard mixed things about this resturant from people and it may be that if we had ordered of a menu rather than been given the set menu it would have been a different experience. however neither i nor my friends will be returning as we feel we were cynically given a cheap (for the resturant) menu and charged over the top for it. i think a bill of £160.00 for six people for what amounted to pitta break and dips is a disgrace. i would give one star for the belly dancer.

Babylonia was a lively restaurant. The staff were child-friendly, attentive, vivacious and generous. The food was fresh, authentic, very tasty and homemade. I'd go back, definitely!

This restaurant impressed me so much. The food was so delicious and generous. I went with afew friends and were lucky enough to be there on a special themed night. It was amazing and something so different with greek dancing, belly dancing and party music ending the night. The staff were so friendly, it felt like being back in greece itself. 10/10 restaurant
