We visited The Fox and Hounds for a meal with my husband's family. I cannot fault the food, which was very good, and a pre-meal canape was provided. Whilst being served, however, my main meal was spilt into my lap.
We did not make a huge issue of the incident because of the fact that we were dining with family members.
I assumed that some recompense would be forthcoming, and was considerably disappointed in the offer that I could 'send a dry cleaning bill'. Surely the onus was on the establishment to make amends?
I felt that an offer to cut the price of my personal main meal from the bill would have been reasonable, under the circumstances.

I stayed at the Fox and Hounds with my husband and three friends for one night. I would highly recommend this lovely country inn. The owners and staff made us extremely welcome and the accommodation and food was first class. We will definitely be making a return visit in the not too distant future.
