Bad Points: The window was broken and wouldnt close properly, the tv didnt have a signal. I booked a double room and got 2 single beds pushed together. The furniture was dirty and grubby and the curtains were hanging off the rails, the view from the room was a skip filled with rubbish. General review: I thought the hotel wasnt terrible value for money, not only was the room awful the walls are paper thin and you can hear doors banging. The food was mediocre and the staff werent particularly friendly. Had I known how run down the hotel was beforehand I wouldnt have stayed there. I tried to complain to the lady at reception but she just said she would inform housekeeping.

We stayed at Northop Hall for 2 nights. Its a lovely country hotel. The staff were all very welcoming. Our room was to a very good standard, and very up to date. Everything was clean and very comfortable. The food was delicious. The grounds are beautiful and look lovely lit up in the evening. Overall a lovely place to stay, I can imagine a wedding there would be perfect.

This was my first visit to Northop hall and probably the most enjoyable weekend away I have ever experienced. The staff could not do enough for us and everything was done with a smile on their faces. The food was outstanding and perfectly presented. The rooms were spotless and the bathrooms were beautiful.I actually proposed to my partner on the second night we were there which was greeted with a round of applause from both guests and staff alike. Myself and my fiancee plan to get married in twelve months time and it will be taking place at Northop Hall. We are staying over night again monday 31 of july 2006 not for any kind of celebration but just to experience the wonderful atmosphere that is Northop Hall. Highly recommended!
