I took three friends to the Hedgehog Inn for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, but the staff were rude, incompetent and had no idea what they were doing. Our waitress, when asked what the menu meant by a "timbale of tabbouleh" simply replied "I haven't got a clue" - and clearly she hadn't! We were impressed by the food, but appalled by the behaviour of the staff. We won't be going back!

We have just come back from eating a meal at the Hedgehog Inn and I am afraid to say it was very disappointing. My husband had the Aberdeen Angus Hamburger, which was very ordinary. A tiny bit of limp salad leaf and a single onion ring to go with the burger and soggy chips - £9.95 I chose the fish pie which actually had only salmon as the fish part. The potato and cheese topping had far too much cheese which overpowered the taste of the rest of the pie. As for the side dish of buttered vegetables, they were extremely overcooked to a point of mush and completely tasteless - £11.95 When we decide to eat out, the experience should be enjoyable, as a treat, with food that is as good as or better than we have at home. But this was definitely not.
