Good Points: Good size main room, very large bathroom, comfortable bed. Bad Points: Two aspects of the bathroom: the shower head was cracked, causing the shower water to spray fiercely all over the place, including onto the ceiling (where it had over a period of time removed the paint from the ceiling) and as far as the toilet pan; secondly, the soap dish next to the bath had the encrusted remains of cigarette ash in it, which smelled badly, which was really unpleasant. Both of these problems were obviously not new and should have been dealt with long ago. General review: Overall the night's stay was very enjoyable: nice bedroom, spacious bathroom, nice character property, very central location (right opposite the restaurant we had booked for dinner), friendly staff, excellent beer, even Miles Davis as background musak, easily booked by internet, reasonable price. Just a pity about the lack of attention to the problems in the bathroom: not easy to forget or forgive the stink of cigarette ash from a soap dish.

The service was very professional. The double room with en suite bathroom was perfect. The room was decorated tastefully and was extremly clean but still cosy. The little sewing kits, shower caps, shampoo bottles, biscuits, fairtrade teas/coffees were good extras. We were told we were in the smaller of the doubles but it was a good size.We were given a outside key to come and go as we pleased too.The breakfast was really good with a good selection to choose from a printed menu and the staff were friendly and available to refill coffee pots and meet all your needs.A good experience.A relaxed but cared for feel to it.
