We visited this site in our camper van and only stayed one night. A lovely location with nice trees etc on site. We were parked down at the bottom on the right and the toilets/showers were close by. I did not, however, have a shower in the morning because my husband had got up before me and came back to say that the cubicle was tiny and the shower head so low, that he could practically have put it in his mouth! (I wouldn't advise this)! My husband is not over tall. I decided therefore, to have a wash in the van instead. Some time later, I noticed a couple, who were parked nearbye, walking up the road, with their toilet bag etc and coming back some time later. Made me wonder if the toilets/showers near us were old ones and there was newer, better ones that they knew of further up.

The site itself is lovely, we've visited on 3 occasions. We camped right by the river and each time we go there are ducklings in the river that, by the end of the week will come up the bank and visit. The toilet blocks are also nice...ignoring the fact you can see into neighbouring cubicles, the showers are too hot and the water runs across the floor, and there is no cold water for brushing teeth. But our last visit was made miserable by one member of staff. The first two years we visited were OK...not friendly but not particularly welcoming. This time, when we took friends on their first camping trip, the reception we received was unfriendly from day one, and at times was difficult and downright rude. On leaving I checked if they had any complaints about us or a reason to dislike us...none. I just regret that he wasn't onsite the day we left. We never received a friendly or helpful comment during the whole stay. One to miss if you value a friendly site. For us, unfortunately, a holiday to forget.
