What a difference a year makes! We visited this site last year and were surprised with the changes that have gone on since our last vist. The playarea has completely changed and has moved nearer to the tents. Its perfect for my sons - 3 and 6. It now has swings for toddlers and older children and there is a bouncing motorbike that corey loved. The site is very child family - plenty of room for them to run about - this site doesn't cram people in like some others do over a bank holiday. The new lighting down the bottom of the road makes it easier getting to the loos at night. Could still do with some down the walkway from the tents - remember to take a torch! The toilet block was kept clean despite the number of people using the site. Quite a lot of grass at times but rain and cut grass is never a good mix. Don't think you can do much about it - maybe put a brush in the toilet blocks and someone may help out. There is a lovely pub in the village - I think its called The Grapes - we had a lovely Sunday Lunch there def all homecooked at reasonable prices. There is also a restaurant Lowrys but apparently its best to book but as we hadn't we didn't bother. The village was fab - scarecrow weekend and Maypole dancing - another great thing for the kids. I'd love to know who won. I know the couple that run the site read these messages so if you could let us know I'd be really chuffed. We had a lovely time - we will be back!
