Just to update my review further.. Just returned from the Riverside again (2nd time this month), lovely as always. The childrens play area has just been completely refurbished, and is now excellant. The people at the site and in the village are so friendly, a lovely area great for walkers. If you do visit the site, you must try the butchers on the main street, very reasonable and excellant meat, we had a fantastic bbq. Love this site, will visit again before the years out.

A lovely park in a great location, very friendly staff, 10 minutes walk from the village, which has everything you might need. The site is extremely well maintained, the toilet blocks are modern and clean (and I am very fussy about these facilities). Small childrens play area (this did need a little attention and also a games room, a shallow river runs through the site, fishing permits can be obtained fro the site - although the fisherman in our party failed to catch anything. Theres no shop or pub on site, which to us is a bonus, as it tends to keep it a little quieter, but as previously mentioned, its very near to the village, which has 3 or 4, plus takeaways!! We stayed here several weekends last year, and I have just booked again for May, can'trecomend it enough. Books up quickly for main holiday weeks and weekends.
