We hired a static caravan for a few days at this place, in September 2007. It was the first time we stayed in a caravan, so we didn’t quite know what to expect. We arrived after a gruelling 7 hour drive at 2.30pm. The check-in was 3pm, which couldn’t be any earlier, despite us being very tired and stressed after your long journey, so we had to drive around for a while. When we did eventually check-in we found the caravan quiet nice, though there was no pillows or bed linen - only stained mattress covers. We were going to complain but as we were tired and we had brought sleeping bags, we used these and decided to complain later. When we did complain the next day they told us we should have said something earlier in a tone that was quite dismissive. We never did get the pillowed and covers either. The site itself was very quiet and peaceful. The pub was very nice, though we only went in one evening; the staff were friendly though there was no entertainment except a pool table. This maybe was due to the time of year (end of the season). The kids playground was quite big though it looked like it hadn’t been maintained for some time (toadstools growing on the ground and rust on the swings). When we left we mentioned the lack of bedding again and went back home. We later found out they kept our £50 security due to the ‘missing’ bedding. I am willing to accept that this is an oversight on their part but they have £50 of our money due to a problem which was their fault and nothing to do with us. I won’t be visiting this place again.

A very family friendly site. We camped here and it was clear that tents were the lowest priority on the site. The pitch we were given was the furthest from the toilet block, our neighbours were driving to and from the showers! It was also full of small deep holes just waiting to twist some ankles. The toilets/showers were kept clean, but in need of improvement which notices lead us to believe were about to happen. The site did have it's own pub which provided excellent food the one night we ate there. Unfortunately it rained quite a lot during our stay and the path to the toilets became very boggy. The site did show signs of improving and has the potential to be a very nice site.
