I booked a family room and was apprehensive about what to expect on our arrival due to the previous comments. I booked into the hotel and was directed to the new building across the street. It would have been nice to know that I could have checked into the other building rather than carrying luggage up and down stairs. My booking in time was 1 o'clock and this was no problem to the hotel. The room was large with a king size bed and a bed setee, it had tea and coffee making facilities and was very clean. We were located on the 5th floor and heard no noise at night. The bar area allowed kids until 11.00 and this was no issue. The location was excellant for theatres. leicester square and covent garden. We did not avail of the breakfast as there were plenty of local cafes though we did look into the eating area and all seemed clean and presentable. We would definitely stay here again as it proved to be clean and given its location good value for money.

my first time to visit london and a friend recommended Travelodge covent garden. He said he was pleasantly surprised. I was satisfied. You have to have your own toiltries they don't spend the extra money on that. You do get the necessities like soap, toilet paper, and a coffee/tea maker and a tv. The room was presentable. They use big comforters that you can wash the cover and replace. Not your fancy hotel but it served its purpose especially since we were out of the room all day and only used it to sleep and change. The fire alarm did go off once on our last morning but we were already up. The front desk was very polite. The breakfast buffet was good. We were 2 adults in one room and only one towel. They graciously gave me a second towel but the cleaning lady kept taking it after each time she cleaned. After the second time the staff must have notified the cleaning crew because it didn't happen again. Only one thing bothered me about my stay there and that was when i requested a blow dryer. I had to use my credit card for deposit but would not be charged upon returning it. The next day after returning from a day of sightseeing i noticed the hair dryer was gone. I figured the cleaning lady took it with the second towel. But to be on the safe side i did notify the front desk. They did not charge my account and i have no idea if that hair dryer ever turned up. I reminded the staff that thier outlets are not like ours in the US so that appliance would do me no good. They were very nice and apologetic. I almost stayed at another hotel that was exquisite but i had not done the conversion from pounds to dollars...whoosh! Good thing i was able to cancel that other hotel and get a good decent price at Travelodge covent garden......oh and the location is great.

I DO NOT recommend this hotel. My experience was beyond horrible. It was deplorable! The beds were not comfortable..the hallways smelled of mildew...but most of all the fire alarm went off every morning at 7am and you had to renew your door key every day. You cant call the front desk from your room, nor can they call you. They are not reliable for delivering messages to rooms nor are they polite! It ruined my UK and London experience I hate to say. It is such a lovely city, its ashame this location even exists!

Good location and the rooms were clean. However the hotel itself is poorly maintained and the service is almost laughably bad!Be aware that once you check out at midday there are NO facilities for storing your cases for pick up prior to catching your flight as there are at other Travelodge hotels.Overall a little disappointing.
