Extremely expensice for 3 star quality. Stayed in a Self Catering lodge - many of the kitchen appliances didnt function, the lodge had a nasty smell which the cleaner tried to mask with air refreshner. The climb from the car park to the lodges is extreme and made worse by very poor lighting and dangerous steps - no attempt had been made to clear the very wet leaves from the steps. The hotel allows dogs in the lodges which if you are not a dog lover can be irritating ( the WEB site says that only lodges 7,8 and 9 allow lodges - well , we stayed in lodge 4 and there was a very noisy dog next to us preventing us from sleeping. The Lodge was dirty - a beige carpet in the living area looked extremely grubby. The lodges are not comfortable or cosy. The view, however, is excellent and wasted on such poor accomodation. We booked three nights but left after two.
