Best rates for a Local Hotel

Whatley Manor is a very serious hotel and the sum of its parts really do add up. A very energetic and seemingly young general manager is in total control - this is one of the few hotels we can remember staying in where nobody in our 3 days said no to us. You do pay for all this though - it certainly isnt cheap but the building is stunning, the refurbs sympathetic and the staff ALL know what they are doing. Only chink in the armour was the excessive use of foam in the restaurant (in a 3 course dinner with 3 amuse bouches I had five different foam varieties) although the kitchen is way beyond reproach in all other areas. The hotels minor restaurant (le Mazot) is very very good indeed.
