On a family holiday at sherwood forest, had looked up on the net some local attractions, one being the caves. Well we set off only to find that these had been closed we believe for upto two years. If only the internet could be updated, what more can I say!!!!

My husband and I visited the caves last Saturday (January 2008) and were extremely disappointed. I'm not sure anyone will even see this e-mail as it appears this website hasn't been updated since 2001. Entrance fees shown are £3.50, we paid £5.50 for a visit lasting half an hour - not value for money. The last time we visited, we were with our children and we each had our own audio device - much better. Although our guide did his best, the whole experience was mediocre to say the least. Would not recommend it I'm afraid.
