Had a truly memorable breakfast as a last day treat of a stay in Lincoln. The poached eggs were perfection as was the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. A couple of things - the full breakfast promised jam which didn't appear and the coffee could be a little stronger, but that did not spoil things. Service efficient and courteous - no foul language whatsoever. Breakfast.

The food is good, the service ok. but it is way overpriced. And not good value for money. I will go back some time but I've got win the lottery first. As for the foul lauguage from the kitchen well if you you were in Gordon Ramseys Restaurant you'd pay extra for the foul lauguage so get over it.

We dined here for lunch having been recommended, but the experience was not good. The starters and puddings were good and the wine list reasonable, but the main courses were a let down. We very specifically asked for vegetables to be thoroughly cooked, boiled not steamed and made it quite clear they MUST be soft. They came on the raw side of al dante. despite returning them they were just shown the microwave and came back much hotter but still crunchy. The rest of the main course was by then going cold. The head waitress was very helpful and clearly embarressed, but some other staff were pointing us out to other (clearly regular) customers and laughing about it. I certainly would not go again, even though they did eventually not charge for the main courses.

Superb Food, Superb Wine and excelent service. We have had many visits to this establishment over the years and it never falters. Never heard any bad language! Must have been an "off night"

Expensive. The foul language emanating from the kitchen made an interesting atmosphere. Food OK
