These are tough times for all, often we feel its time to moan, however as a rep i have been to some rather unwelcoming places and have been advised where not to go for a business lunch.I tried this place yesterday and GOOD SERVICE,VERY GOOD FOOD,FAIR PRICE.The only thing i will say is some back ground music would have been welcomed as i could hear what the pensioners were moaning about behind me.Apart from that.GO THERE, Treat your wife/ girlfriend or both.

on the 12th april 07, my parents took me to Annie Bailey's for my 21st bday meal. it was absolutly beautiful, the food was perfect, not overly priced and good average sizes. They went out of their way to make conversation with us, as good staff do, and even made the effort to add a candle to my dessert, which wasn't asked for (not even quietly by my parents) The service WASN'T slow, the food was GREAT, the drinks were fine and it IS NOT EXPENSIVE so the person who previously complained about his '£90 meal' is obviously an old grumpy!! :P

I have had some quite good lunches in this restaurant. However, on 25th Nov I took two relatives out to dinner to Annie Bailey, Great Missenden. The service was poor and the food was appalling. The mushroom rissotto was a heap of lumpy rice topped with rocket which was full of grit! My guests had steak which was so tough they had to ask for different knives. I asked if there were chips or anything with my fish and was told "no" so ordered some separately. When my fish arrived the plate was decorated with potatoes! With 2 starters (inedible) 3 main meals, 3 coffees and a bottle of wine the bill was nearly £90. I wrote to the owner (whose name I have found out since, is David Berry) in a factual manner stating what had gone wrong on the night. He did not even bother to reply. As far as I'm concerned that is the last time I will eat at Annie Bailey's, in Great Missenden which is a pity as it local to where I live. An acknowledgment from the owner or an apology would have left it open for me to try the place again! !
