Today my friend and I visited The Packhorse in Louth and ordered a meal off the specials board. The meal cost £7 95 each for a Ceaser salad with chicken and bacon. The plate was brought by a member of the bar staff who just plonked it on the table withou a word. The meal consisted of four large pieces of lettuce a couple of small toms four pieces of cucumber a few croutons and some minute pieces of chicken and bacon and a small pot of Ceaser sauce. How anyone could serve such a poor meal for the price paid really surprises me. It was not served with bread or chips I have had larger starters. We were very disappointed with the amount or lack of it for the price. Usually a member of staff asks how the meal was this did not happen. Needless to say we will not be visiting again nor recommending it to our friends. The ingredients must have cost about a pound. Feel we were robbed and was embarrassed as I had taken my friend for a treat
