Good Points: Lovely staff - very very friendly and helpful/good parking too. Bad Points: First room had no side lighting - just bare wires. So changed rooms. General review: Loved the hotel, loved the area

Good Points: We found the hotel to be very comfortable and the staff helpful and polite. The food was excellent - good quality, variety of menu and well-cooked and hot. Bad Points: Temperature in shower fluctuated which could be alarming! The only bad point was the car parking. My husband is disabled and the chance of not being able to park when we returned from our days out was annoying. As things turned out it was not a problem although we did get the last space in the car park on both 5th and 6th. However, we did telephone the week before our visit regarding the car parking problems as we had noted this from comments made on the website by previous hotel guests and we were told by a member of staff at the hotel that it shouldn't be a problem as he was not aware of any conferences taking place that week - as far as we could see there were at least 3 conferences at the Royal Hall and a seminar taking place in the hotel and the hotel and car park were very full on 5th and 6th May. General review: This was a mid-week break in celebration of our Silver Wedding Anniversary - it was very enjoyable although we would probably not stay at the hotel again because of the car parking problems. This is no reflection on the quality of the hotel and service.
