County Review by John Devey on January 14th, 2007We have just returned from Benjs Barton Portesham property ref 69007.Welcome wes good flowers and fruit inside a well presented and equiped house.Owner warm and pleasant.On the downside the view of the house is misleading on the website.Wrong address villagers know it as 32a Front lane.The road outside is used as a rat run by lorries coaches and commuters including school traffic Without adequate pavements walking is hazardous.Smoking is permitted,our party are non smokers,the whole house smelled of tobacco residue.Parking is in the road if you have anything bigger than a mini.There is building work next door.No shops no signal for mobile phone.Car is essential for 7 mile trip for provisions to Weymouth.A small shop is in Abbotsbury 2 miles away.We will use Welcome cottages again but will ask questions before booking.We hope our comments can be a help in preparing your future customers and wish you every success for the future, John and Jean Devey
