Loooking forward to spending the day with a friend I only see twice a year and having a good spend I was bitterly disappointed with Yarms parking facilities. We arrived at 10am and had a lovely coffee and then ready to shop. After 2 hours (the allowed parking time) we went back to the car to find an alternative car park....which there are none. Both car parks we tried were 1 hour stay only. I find it bizarre that in the current times when we welcome people to stay in our own country to holiday etc and support the small businesses instead of out of town establishments you don,t offer any parking. We were left no alternative, very disappointed I must say, to return home. I live about 45 minutes from Yarm so it was a planned day out, a waste of an day. Please let me know why Yarm is so unwelcoming to people coming to enjoy spending money in their lovely town
