Stirlingshire Reports

Airth, Stirlingshire

Review of Airth by Sandra Ferguson on September 27th, 2009
Having visited the hotel to make a final payment for one of your Xmas Party evenings I was very disappointed in the way I was received by one of the reception staff - I believe her name may have been Shiona or something similar. Her curtness and her body language is something that I have not experienced or indeed would expect from a Hotel whose standards have been exceptionally high. Her manner, her poor demenaour and her abruptness left me speechless and her off handed attempt at receiving the information I was giving has led me to feel that I am not sure whether or not accurate details will be passed on. My sister attended a wedding yesterday and this same receptionist made her feel as though she was being talked down to. Very poor. In stark contrast to this we encountered Josie, a friend and one of your employees, whom we have known for over 30 years. What a breath of fresh air - her charm, her enthusiam to please and outright friendliness are what I have come to expect from Airth Castle. Thank goodness she was able to restore my faith in the Hotel. Had it not been for Josie there was a distinct possibilty that future visits to the Hotel would have been in jeapordy. I await your reply with interest. Sandra Ferguson Eastertoun Primary School
