Shorwell is a gorgeous little village which is a great get away from all the stress of city life. I stayed in a wonderful little b&b called the lychgate (www.geocities.com/thelychgate). Im a keen walker and found Shorwell to be a great base to explore the island. The Crown Inn comes highly recommmended as the food is super.
