Chiswick, London

Review of Chiswick by sally trumans on February 15th, 2007
great docs and nurses, superb facilities, even has artwork and classical music. strongly recommended

Review of Chiswick by harry on February 1st, 2006
Chiswick is a really nice place to live with absolutely loads of restaurants, proper shops, pubs and bars. The High Road is always a hive of activity with a multi nationality population and masses of families. Away from the centre is largely residential and very upmarket and towards the river is Chiswick Park/House & Grounds (or whatever its called) which is a fantastic oasis in this congested part of town. This stretch of river is very historic and therefore picturesque in places alongside wild nature reserve and smart modern developments. All in all a great place to visit with a true village feel

Hampstead, London

Review of Hampstead by Lorraine on March 4th, 2009
I lived in Hampstead next to the Heath for three years. The Heath! The Shops! The Restaurants! The proximity to downtown London. I am thinking of a long-term return trip. It is an area that grabs your heart!

Review of Harlesden by Martin on July 4th, 2011
Harlesden has been enlivened through the post-war years by the arrival of Irish, Caribbean, African and other immigrants, bringing energy and diversity to its shops and eateries, and is now attracting young professionals.

Hither Green, London

Review of Hither Green by Martin on June 27th, 2011
Hither Green in the Lewisham district is a suburb that grew in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, its architecture reflecting that. The area is residential and has a mainline rail station serving commuters.

Marylebone, London

Review of Marylebone by nick on October 18th, 2007
Marylebone has a bustly village feel to it which is all the more surprising to find when you consider its location. Sandwiched twixt Oxford Street to the south and the M40 Euston Road to the north the area somehow seems to avoid all that and has a good character all of its own. There are many fine and individual shops, bars and restaurants and many celebrities have homes here. With the west end just a quick stroll away and Hyde and Regents Parks also closeby Marylebone is hard to beat as a London location.

Penge, London

Review of Penge by on September 24th, 2007
It is a great little town with friendly people - there are a few problems that should be dealt with and one is that the number of cheap pound shops and also the amount of fast food restaurants in the area which bring it down. Has a great furniture, kitchen supply, curtain shop plus Sainsbury and ethnic food stores which are great but there is no where nice to eat and drink which is a shame as there is demand there.

Soho, London

Review of Soho by sandy on June 24th, 2007
Having been to Berwick street fruit market, it was a pleasure to have a coffee, at a small shop called Flat White, just beside the market, where we undoubtably had the best coffee we had ever tasted. Soho is wonderful, and we will certainly go back, to Berwick street.

Really good Indian - Food is top notch especially the curries. I have used it for Eat in & takeaways - try the Goan Fish or Cochin Chicken very good. Service is good too, delivery service is convinient but a bit slow at times.

Stamford Hill, London

Review of Stamford Hill by Mike on July 4th, 2011
Though Stamford Hill is an ethnically (and religiously) diverse district of London it is the Hasidic Jewish community that catches the eye, the men dressed in their traditional garb. Likewise it is the Jewish delis and food shops that give the place an identity.

Victoria, London

Review of Victoria by Louise Pepperall on April 4th, 2007
I stayed at the new England Hotel in Victoria. It is easy to get to from the tube station. The 'single' room I stayed was small clean and adequate for my needs seeing I did not spend that much time their. However I was disoppointed with the breakfast as the waitress was Polish therefore could only speak basic English making it difficult to communicate with. The breakfast was very basic and disaplined. We had to be out of the dining room at 9 am as an alarm bell went off. Well when on holiday one wants to relax. I will not go back to that hotel for this reason. Tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice. I was surprised that this hotel did not provide that.

Woolwich, London

Review of Woolwich by yas on July 19th, 2009
woolwich and plumstead are vibrant places with the regeneration in place, the area is becoming up market and is attracting people from different backgrounds. it is very green, quite, and hopefully with new civic centre, shops, cinema, hotel and more it will be as good as being in the west end of london.
