i was born in eastgate in 1939 i lived at no 16 eastgate i recently visited the area in 2007 i was very interested to see that it has kept a lot of its old charm it is the first time i have been back some 55 years i would like if there is anyone still living in the area from that era i have a brother called brian and a late sister called dorreen i have recently been in contact with john young & joe jobson . my brother and i went back to our old school at guidepost and were given a very warm welcome by all the staff we intend to arrange a visit to our first school which was at choppington . i will contact you again when i collect a few things that may be of interest to you yours john besford
