for Festival of Garden Literature as your favourite British event.

Tom and Sue Stuart-Smith will welcome the Garden Museum and guests for a celebration of garden writing in the Garden Literary festival. Renowned garden writers, designers and historians explore the place of gardens in autobiography and memoir, and how fantasies of Eden and Arcadia continue to haunt our imagination. The festival takes place over two days amongst acres of wildflower meadow, prairie planting and calm green rooms.

This intimate festival, limited to 250 people per day, will cultivate a fertile atmosphere of literary discussion as well as granting guests the chance to lounge and picnic in one of England’s most spectacular contemporary gardens. Day tickets for £150/£125 Weekend ticket £280/£230

To coincide with the festival we are holding a writing competition for a literary memoir inspired by, or set in, a garden. A prize of £2,500 (sponsored by Granta Magazine) will be awarded to the winning entry on the final day of the festival.

Our award winning Garden Cafe will be in residence, with chef Sorrel creating gourmet pre-ordered hampers for two.

Tickets via our website www.gardenmuseum.org.uk.
Location: The Barn Garden, Sergehill Ln, Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire WD5 0RY.
