A popular four day event, this Christmas market specialises in gifts, crafts, and the very best in local farm produce.
As well as the outdoor markets, the Guild Hall houses the 'Made In Yorkshire' artists and crafters and the medieval townhouse, Barley Hall, presents a special medieval market.
Carol singers and buskers flock to the city to entertain the thousands of festive shoppers.
