The Bikesafe team are thrilled to announce the date for BikeSafe 2017. Saturday August 19th. Our annual road safety day will return to Rockingham Circuit following the success of the 2016 event which attracted 5,000 visitors. And this year will join company with Openroads.

This year BikeSafe and Openroads have teamed up to bring you the biggest highway extravaganza anywhere in the country. Combining thrills, skills and breath taking shows with something for every type of road user whether your thing be cars, motorbikes or cycles , the day guarantees to have something for everyone......as long as you love wheels.

Organised by BikeSafe in partnership with Northamptonshire Highways, the 2016 event took place on 16 July, with attendees enjoying a mix of motorcycle activities and family entertainment. The action-packed show will be bigger and better than before and packed with the latest models of bikes, hordes of kit and the thrills be skills of our riders and stunt shows.

And, this year we are pairing up with the hugely successful Open Roads event to make sure that Rockingham hosts the biggest and best thrills, skills and road safety event in the UK with something really for everyone.

BikeSafe 2017

Highlights will include the opportunity for an assessed ride with a police advanced motorcyclist, who advise participants on road riding techniques.

Visitors will also enjoy a track experience under the watchful eye of the California Superbike School and demo rides from manufacturers including BMW, Honda, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.

BikeSafe is a police-led motorcycle safety initiative run by most forces across the UK, in a bid to reduce the number of bikers killed and injured on the roads.

The scheme’s aim is to encourage post test training and improve rider attitude and behaviour. It runs under the premise that: ‘the more training you get, the better and safer the rider you become.
