Films include Die Hard (1988), Truly, Madly, Deeply (1991), Sense and Sensibility (1995), Michael Collins (1996) and the Harry Potter films. Won BAFTA Best Supporting Actor award in Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves (1991). Directed his first film in 1996, The Winter Guest.
