John Rushworth

Born 1612.  Died 1690 - English historian.
Studied at Oxford.  Appointed clerk-assistant to House of Commons in Long Parliament in 1640.  Secretary to Thomas Fairfax (1645-50) and in 1677 to the Lord Keeper.  Imprisoned for debt, died in captivity.
