Educated at University College, Swansea. Novels published include The Elephant You Gave Me (1963) and Barque Whisper (1979). Written two collections of short stories, Dai Country (1973) and The Former Miss Merthyr Tydfil (1976). Written plays and adaptations for television including The Onedin Line.
