Pseudonym of Brian O’Nolan. Wrote At Swim-Two-Birds in 1936, published in 1939. Contributed to the Irish Times for 20 years using name Myles n Gopaleen. Second novel An Beal Bocht (The Poor Mouth) published in 1941; The Third Policeman posthumously in 1967.

Just for your information - Strabane, Co. Tyrone is in Northern Ireland, which is part of the UK, but NOT part of Britain, therefore Flann O'Brien is not a famous Briton!
