Born 1942 - English jazz guitarist and composer.

Played with British blues, rock and jazz groups in the 1960s. Played on Miles Davis’s albums In A Silent Way (1969) and My Goal’s Beyond (1970). Formed own group The Mahavishnu Orchestra in 1971. Written classical works including a guitar concerto.
