Jo Whiley studied languages at Brighton Poly, during her final year getting a first taste of broadcasting on a Radio Sussex show. She then did a year’s course on radio journalism at City University, after which she worked as a researcher and then presenter on a BBC Radio 4 yoof programme. She is best-known for her years as a DJ on Radio 1, where her Live Lounge feature became a way to judge the real talent of musicians, and for presenting the Beeb’s Glasto coverage.
