As a youth cricketer Neville captained England U15s and played for Lancashire 2nds aged just 15, but chose football for his sporting career. Neville played 263 games for Manchester United, and only 21 fewer for Everton, also winning 59 England caps. Mainly used as a full back, with occasional appearances as a defensive midfielder, he won the Premier League six times and the FA Cup three with Manchester United, and was an unused sub in the 1998-99 Champions League final where United completed a historic treble. Since retiring from playing Neville has worked as a TV pundit and a coach.
