After graduating from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 1997 she joined Alexander McQueen as his personal assistant and then Head of Womenswear in 2000. After McQueen's death in 2010 she became Creative Director of his company. In 2011 she created Kate Middleton's wedding dress and was named Designer of the Year.
