From the rather humble beginnings of working as an inspector for the Good Food Guide Ruth Watson has developed a multi-facetted career in the food world. She and her husband have built up a restaurant and hotel business; her food writing for magazines and in the form of three cookbooks has won awards and the books have enjoyed good sales; but she is perhaps best known as The Hotel Inspector from her work on the Channel 5 TV series.
