Won the 2000 WGC-Andersen Consulting Match Play Championship defeating Tiger Woods in the final, won the 2003 WGC-NEC Invitational. Finished second on the European Tour money in 1998, 2000 and 2003. Has been a member of the Ryder team on five consecutive occasions. Came second in the 2006 Sports Personality Of The year award. Is a keen cigar smoker spending around £25,000 annually on cigars.
