Born Melanie Janine Brown. Best known as one of the member of The Spice Girls. Given the name “Scary Spice” due to her accent, large curly hair and in-your-face attitude. Had mixed success as a solo artist, her single I Want You Back (1998) being her first and only solo Number One in the UK. Has hosted a number of television shows including Pure Naughty and the MOBO awards. Has a daughter with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar and another daughter with Eddie Murphy, now married to Stephen Belafonte.
