Jack Russell
- Favourite Briton.

Born in Stroud, Gloucestershire
Born on 15th of August 1963
Died in 000

Too many sportsmen have their character and individuality coached out of them, but not Jack Russell, who played 54 tests for England and represented Gloucestershire for more than 20 years. Russell was a superb wicket-keeper (who went on to mentor others in the craft), and an intriguing batsmen, his stance and technique growing quirkier as his career progressed – the original nurdler of runs. Russell stayed sane on long tours by painting and drawing, and since his retirement from the first-class game has become a successful artist.
