Thomas Randolph

Born on 15th of June 1605
Died in 1635

Randolph, the son of a steward to Lord Zouch, won a scholarship to Westminster, then studied at Trinity College, Cambridge, where he took his BA and MA, and became a fellow. He wrote poetry from his teens onwards, and is remembered for that strand of his work, and for his dramas, admired by Ben Jonson who became a friend. He died aged just 29.
