Warren Mitchell is best known for his portrayal of the sad bigot Alf Garnett in Till Death Us Do Part and other series and films, but his acting career deserves far wider acknowledgment than just that one star part. He worked with the likes of Tony Hancock in 1950s radio shows, appeared in iconic sixties series like The Saint, Danger Man, and The Avengers, has made many movies, and is a two-time Olivier Award winner (both in Arthur Miller plays).
