Died on 8th of October 1988

Educated at Harrow and at Brasenose College, Cambridge, Hulton was the son and grandson of newspaper magnates who became a great innovator in that same field, founding Picture Post. He was a public-spirited figure, supporting the Home Guard during WWII, and a member of the 1941 Committee that pushed for more effective organisation of industrial resources and distribution methods during the war. He was knighted in 1957.
