Began her career as a reporter at the Daily Mail, also worked for the Sunday Times and Daily Mirror. Moved into television in 1986, wrote and presented Watchdog for 11 years from 1993 to 2001. Now famous for hosting the BBC game show, The Weakest Link. Published her autobiography Memoirs of an Unift Mother in 2001.
