Disc jockey on the pirate stations Radio Caroline and Radio London in the 1960s. First presenter to appear on BBC Radio 1 when it was launched in 1967. Regular hos of Top of the Pops. Joined Capital Gold in 1988. returning to BBC London 94.9 in 2004. In 2002 was the winner of the reality TV programme I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!
