Played for a number of clubs including Nottingham Forest (1974-84), Arsenal (1984-87) and Manchester United (1987-90). Was the first black football player to represent England in a full international match. Played 30 matches for England scoring 2 goals. Managed Barnsley and Middlesbrough before leaving football in 2001.
