Lead vocalist and bass guitarist for The Jam. Had their first number one in 1980 with Going Underground followed by Start and A Town Called Malice. The Jam disbanded in 1983, Weller formed The Style Council incollaboration with a friend and keyboard player Mick Talbot. This disbanded in 1989 and he began a successful solo career.
