Worked for the Glasgow architect, Alexander Greek Thomson. In 1870 went into partnership with Bruce Talbert in London, opened branches in USA and Australia. His work can be seen in Paisley Abbey, St Machar’s Cathedral in Aberdeen and Downahill Church in Glasgow.
