Born 1944 - Scottish murderer and sculptor.


Twice charged with murder and cleared. Imprisoned for serious assault, in 1967 convicted of murder and given life sentence. Took part in Barlinnie Prison Special Unit’s rehabilitation programme. Produced many sculptures and wrote autobiography A Sense of Freedom (1977). Released in 1982 and wrote first novel Hero of the Underworld in 1999.
