Henry Bolingbroke

Born 1678.  Died 1751 - English statesman and writer.
Became Tory MP in 1701, shared leadership of party with Robert Harley.  Fled to France when George I came to rule.  Last years spent in Battersea.  Wrote many influential political letters and essays.  Much admired as an orator.
