The eldest daughter of Emmeline Pankhurst, and a suffragette in her own right. Militant campaigning with Annie Kenney caused widespread imprisonment and hunger strikes for many suffragettes. She edited The Suffragette from 1912-1920, and wrote her political memoirs Unshackled:The Story of How We Won the Vote in 1959.
