Studied at Nottingham School of Art. Started working on strips of Amalgamated Press children’s comics in 1920. Worked freelance on Steve and Stumpy (Butterfly), George the Jolly Gee-Gee and Chimpo’s Circus. Designed painted annual covers and frontspieces.
